1. Who We Are
WPWriteAI is a WordPress plugin developed and operated by Deepak Samele (trading as Deepak Samele, Jhansi, India). Contact: deepak@deepaksamele.com
2. What Data the Plugin Collects
On first activation, WPWriteAI generates a SHA-256 hash from your site URL and admin email. This fingerprint is stored locally in your WordPress database and sent to our licensing server (deepaksamele.com) to enforce free-plan limits and prevent abuse. It cannot be used to identify individuals and is not shared with third parties.
The number of posts generated per 30-day period is stored locally and synced to our server along with your domain and fingerprint. This data is used solely to enforce plan limits.
If you purchase a paid plan, your license key and domain are stored on our licensing server to validate your subscription and enforce site limits. This is standard practice for all premium WordPress plugins.
Your Anthropic Claude API key is stored only in your WordPress database (wp_options). It is never sent to our servers. API calls are made directly from your WordPress server to Anthropic.
3. Third-Party Services
When you generate content, your keyword and site profile data is sent to Anthropic's API. When generating a featured image, a text prompt is sent to Pollinations.ai. No personal user data is included in these requests.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect or store your Claude API key
- We do not collect visitor data from your WordPress site
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
- We do not use your data for training AI models
- We do not collect payment card information (handled by Freemius/Stripe)
5. Data Retention
Usage records and fingerprints are retained for 12 months for abuse prevention. License records are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. You may request deletion by emailing us.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about your domain
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to processing

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the plugin adds new features. The latest version is always atdeepaksamele.com/wpwriteai/privacy. Continued use of the plugin after changes constitutes acceptance.
